Community Conduct and Use of Space 

  • Members and guests must act respectfully and use the space consistent with typical commercial office use. 
  • Disruptive, dangerous, illegal, or offensive activities are strictly prohibited. 
  • Weapons and hazardous, flammable, or explosive materials are not allowed. Report any concerns immediately to the Executive Director at (347)262-9637 or Director of Quality Contral and Tenant Relations at jvacarro@gjdc.org 
  • Discrimination or harassment based on any protected characteristic is strictly prohibited. Violations may result in removal or membership termination. Report incidents to team@thegreaternexus.com. 
  • Alcohol consumption is only permitted by individuals of legal drinking age and must be done responsibly. 
  • Members are responsible for their personal property; Greater Nexus is not liable for lost or stolen items.

Guest Policies

  • Guests are only allowed in meeting rooms with a valid booking. 
  • The number of guests must not exceed the meeting room capacity. 
  • Guest access is limited to the duration of the booking. 
  • All guests must check in at the front desk and present valid identification, if requested by Security or Greater Nexus Administrative staff. 
  • Guests must be accompanied by a member at all times, including minors, and cannot use floating spaces outside meeting hours. 
  • Members are fully responsible for their guests’ behavior and compliance with House Rules. 
  • Greater Nexus may revoke guest access if rules are violated. 
  • Delivery personnel and couriers are not permitted beyond the front desk, unless permission has been granted by Greater Nexus Administrative staff. 

Shared Space Etiquette

  • Shared spaces such as lounges, floating desks, and common areas must be used with fairness and consideration for others. 
  • Keep noise at a respectful level and avoid disruptive behavior in shared environments. 
  • Privacy phone booths are first-come, first-served and intended for short-term, private use. While there are no strict time limits, please be courteous and avoid occupying them for extended periods during high-demand hours. 
  • When using meeting rooms, training facilities, or other reservable areas, members must respect start and end times for all bookings. 
  • Members who exceed their reserved time may incur an additional fee, billed to the host member’s account. 
  • Personal belongings should not be left unattended in shared spaces and must be removed at the end of each session. 
  • Clean up after yourself, return furniture and equipment to their original positions, and report any spills or damages to staff. 

Access and Security

  • Memberships and digital passkeys are personal and non-transferable. 
  • Do not share, lend, or transfer your Greater Nexus app passkey. 
  • Do not allow other guests or member to enter restricted spaces without swiping their own passkey. Please direct unverified visitors to check in with the front desk. 
  • Greater Nexus app passkeys may only be reset by the member through the Greater Nexus app, and lost physical passkeys must be reported to Greater Nexus staff immediately. 
  • For safety and property protection, certain areas may be monitored by security cameras. 

Mail and Package Handling

  • Mail and package receipt is limited to members with a paid mail service plan. 
  • Packages and mail can be collected from the mailroom located behind the front desk on the 5th floor; package notifications will be sent, but regular mail notifications will not unless the member has purchased a premium mail plan. 
  • Packages must be collected within 30 days and mail within 60 days of receipt. Unclaimed items may be returned to the sender, or discarded. 
  • Members must inform Community Managers of large or valuable deliveries so proper arrangements can be made. 
  • Greater Nexus staff will not forward mail or packages unless included in your plan or membership agreement. 

 Technology and Equipment

  • All electronic devices connected to the Greater Nexus network must: 
  • Have up-to-date software and security patches. 
  • Be free of malware, viruses, or other malicious software. 
  • Greater Nexus may restrict or remove devices that pose a network threat until the issue is resolved. 
  • Equipment with high heat output or power consumption beyond typical office standards may not be operated without approval. 

Property and Resource Responsibility

  • Members are responsible for any Greater Nexus property or furnishings temporarily provided (e.g., cubicles, cabinets, lockers, technical equipment, key cards). 
  • Replacement fees apply for lost, stolen, or damaged items. 
  • Members must use shared resources responsibly and report any damage to staff immediately.
